WHY I AM RUNNING

 

Nebraska needs a disciplined
and analytical leader.

"I am running for the Nebraska State Board of Education to champion the well-being and success of our students and teachers. As a process-oriented financial steward,  I believe in collaboration, transparency, and efficient budgetary oversight to maximize opportunities and minimize inefficiencies. For me, prudent management of public funds, coupled with accountability, is a priority."

Stacy Matula brings over 30 years of leadership experience in finance and administration. Her expertise, acquired through leadership roles throughout her career, positions her as an adept candidate for the fiduciary responsibilities of the State Board of Education.

 

Stacy's standout achievements include earning Lean and Six Sigma certifications, highlighting her commitment to efficiency and organizational improvement.

 

Beyond her professional acumen, Stacy's educational foundation includes both business and Biblical degrees with additional studies in sign language. 

 

Stacy's candidacy is rooted in a commitment to Nebraska's children including responsible spending, fiscal transparency, and accountability. Her collaborative approach aims to build strong community partnerships, fostering educational improvement.
